Please join us for the official launch event on
January 9, 7:30 PM (PST) 10:30PM (EST) / January 10, 9:00AM (IST)
This special free livestream event from The Mind & Life Institute, will feature a conversation with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and youth climate activist Greta Thunberg, exploring steps to address urgent climate change challenges.
Fossil fuel emissions from human activity are driving up the Earth’s temperature. Less well known is that this warming has set in motion Nature’s own “feedback loops” that are raising temperatures even higher. The intergenerational discussion will explore what can be done to slow, halt, or possibly reverse this threat before it’s too late.
Moderated by Diana Chapman Walsh, this conversation on the Crisis of Climate Feedback Loops will feature Susan Natali, Arctic Program Director at the Woodwell Climate Research Center, and William Moomaw, Professor Emeritus of International Environmental Policy at Tufts University. This event will feature clips from the films and highlight recent scientific findings, the ethical imperative of taking action, and urgent steps needed to minimize this grave danger.
