Human activities are threatening the health of the world’s oceans. More than 80 percent of marine pollution comes from land-based activities. From coral bleaching to sea level rise, entire marine ecosystems are threatened. We have already crossed the tipping point for corral reef, only 20% of which remain.

Emissions of Carbon Dioxide, Methane, Nitrous Oxide trap the sun's heat, raising global temperatures beyond the agreed 1.5 degrees celsius above pre industrial levels raises the earth’s temperature. Air pollution is caused by industrial processes, transportation, agricultural practices, fires, etc.

The numbers don’t lie. Animal agriculture and meat consumption are significant contributors to climate change. Forests are destroyed and fully 3/4 of all agricultural lands are used to grow feed and graze animals. Cow burps are the largest anthropogenic source of methane. This is why a mostly plant based diet is essential. the world’s biggest contributors to climate change.

Polycrises
Environmental polycrises are interactive and exceedingly complex. Since the biosphere is a complete and unified system, greenhouse gas emissions, pollution from industries, particularly plastic and cement, and agricultural systems that degrade and waste land have put us on the brink of tipping planetary systems into dangerous feedback loops, and the possibility of triggering an extinction event.
